Irrowe and Padilen thank you for your input. I am going to use the scissor jacks, I was leaning that way already and with your inputs I made my decision. Thanks again

My camper came with scissor jacks on front corners and the type in your link on the rear. Find those rear stabilizers, like your link, to be the easiest to use. Meaning raising & lowering is nearly effortless. The scissor jacks take a bit more effort but still quite easy. Both work well as stabilizers.

Yes it is the plywood that came in the trailer. I used 3M contact glue and staples across the the top. The glue works very well. I use to use the same glue for covering custom speaker boxes with carpet.

What type of carpet is that PaulzOx and where did you purchase it? Looks great. Any plans for trim where the carpet meets the wall or floor?

It is indoor/out door carpet (gray). I got it at home depot. Yes I plan on trimming out the whole trailer with either aluminum strips or aluminum angle.

Here she is with the floor completed.

And here is an idea of where the beds will be.

Kudzu, thank you for your input. I think I am going to go with the ones in the link.

San Diego Lightweight Toy Hauler / Man Cave

Postby PaulzOx » Sun May 29, 2016 12:41 pm

Thanks McDave, I still have a bit to do. I am going to build a counter top with a fold down sink in the V area with cabinets above the windows and the counter top. Also contemplating a "folding" shower. Yes I said folding shower, I have the design in my head I just need to lay it all out. Also I am trying to design the cabinets to be removable as well as the counter so I can still use the trailer to haul with if needed.

**update** I also need to finish the trim work

This should be required reading.
Very good information for anyone considering a cargo trailer purchase. This guy could be my brother from another mother.

McDave, thank you for the link. This is exactly what I had in mind for my folding shower.

I saw a follow up where this guy had that trailer at a rally, it looked to be finished. (The shower that is) and was in the stowed position. Seems like a very practical way of having a shower and retaining use of that space.
I can't remember where right now, but it may come back to me. I'll let you know. You can get a pretty good idea of how it works, just work out the details for your CT.

Had a little time to kill today so I installed my RV door latch.

Okay it's time to start building a shelf/counter. Anyone have a suggestion on a fold down stainless sink?

McDave, thanks again for the link with a fold up shower. If you find the follow up thread please post it... If not not its okay. I have a pretty good idea from the link you gave already
