Finished up the doors. Cabinet done.
Also fixed the gap at the ceiling.

What did you do to pull the ceiling down?

There was two screws that held it up, removed those.
Replaced those with machine screws w/ nuts and a piece of Ktex.
Material had a hole the screws went through. Once bolted down I stapled the material down the backside of the cabinet face. Pulling it down.

Just for mock-up sake. I picked up a elbow and exhaust cap.

Modstock, Howdy;

I understand you are showing us a mock up but you may want to elevate the exhaust to be
above the roof-line to keep the wind from pushing the smoke back into your trailer.

Yeah, I need to add at least a foot from the looks of it.
Plus I need to find out where the beam is behind the door panel.
Got all summer to plan it out.

Well, im getting a new roof put on the house and didn't want the trailer by its side so, I finally got to see if it fits in the shop.
It was a tense few minutes stopping every few inches, climbing up the ladder, to see if it clears.
And..... it fits !!!

Pulled it out last Wednesday and took it for a 6.5 hr drive down to Big Water, UT.
Then another hour or so on a 30 mile dirt road to reach Alstrom Point overlooking lake Powell.
6am sunrise pic. Image
That next day we explored Crosby canyon down to Warm creek bay.
There's an island you can drive out to but found out the water is a good half mile away.
Took a shortcut and conquered a nasty sandy hillclimb at full throttle to get around to the beach .
Had the whole channel to ourselves.

Spent another night on Alstrom point and moved towards civilization in the morning.

The next day we checked out the other side of the rim (now that the nudist neighbors had left) before we also moved on.
Image
You can see how tiny the trailer is next to the cliff.
Image

Stopped in Lone Rock Beach but the sand is way too soft and got stuck, had to air down to get back up the hill.
Decided to move on to cooler temperatures and got a refund.
Started heading towards Grand canyon north.
That drive wasn't very fun, steep grades and high winds had me at 45 mph most of the way along the Vermillion cliffs.

Finally reached Grand canyon north just before opening day.
Camp #1 cooler temps, Yay.
Image

Saturday morning 6am.
A line of about 20 vehicles awaiting the gate opening.
Good thing we camped near the entrance.
The first guy in line fell asleep and when the gates opened, the race was on. Everybody went around him.
Soon all of us the RV's got passed as well .

We found a spot on a dirt road 5 miles in that had good views of the eastern Grand canyon. Ours had a better wind break with more tree's .

Yesterday morning we packed up and headed for home. Once we reached asphalt it started to snow. A few miles later sunny.
Then we get into Hatch, Utah and snow again.
While on hwy 89 we stopped at the
Moqui cave in Kanab and the Butch Cassidy childhood home.

Some "final destination" stuff right there.

That place looked interesting. I liked the Whistle stop boxcars.
