McDave Thank you Brother. So cool I should have done this in the VERY beginning of the build. Damn I have learned much. nice to see the solder wick in and set. All like you said. Watched a few you tube vids too.

Well I never thought I would do this but here it is. Too easy to pass up with that awesome TV bracket with multiple docking stations. Still some tweaking to be done. May need satellite now? :D

I will snap a pic when it gets dark maybe.

Have a good weekend and holiday everybody!

You're awesome Tommy. And yes, I think we have all learned a lot. We have much to be thankful for, and truly should be ashamed when we complain about petty stuff. There's thousands of people who would love to have it as rough as us.
Oh, by the way... I know you are sittin' under that new awning watchin' TV with the LEDs on in the daytime, but parking the trailer out by the pool, That's just showin' off.
Love ya, Brother

Salsa, love the mount, never going to fall over like this, secure.

Getting busy up there! One more solar panel and a Sat. Antenna and I am done!

Thank You Don. No rush. This maybe a crazy week as you know. I am going to continue prepping the escape pod just in case. BUT where do you go? It may chase you right up the coast. Have known more than a few people who got stuck on the interstate and many who could not find a place to stay. I really would be hesitant to abandon the house but we would if its a cat 4 or greater. IDK. PRAY that it misses us. :worship: We have many cats too.

I was just finishing installing the interior LED lights and then maybe finally insulate and cover the ceiling proper. Run 1x2 strips across the ceiling and use that very thin plywood. What did you use Don for you ceiling panels?

Any way welcome back. I have many questions about your trip. Good luck with the storm. Stay in touch!

Much to prepare. Oh I did check out the 35 gallon auxiliary water tank. All is good. No leaks. 55 Gallon capacity is nice.

Tommy, if I evacuate, I will wait to last minute, go west to center of state and then South. Everyone goes North. I'll keep the CTC evacuation ready since it is in my driveway now. Filling up gas cans and etc. today just in case.

I used the 1/8 inch Luan underlaymnet plywood from Home Depot. Just need to pick the good ones. Tip.. paint them before installing. Much easier and cleaner. :-)

Hey I have seen this around town a time or two and finally managed a pic of the MAN CAVE. I can only wonder what the inside looks like! Thought you all might get a smile out of it> :D

Don't see any thing on the roof.

Well if all is still standing in 72 hours or so I will proceed with installing insulation and a ceiling. That should really improve the inside. I have not tried the LED cabin lights in the dark yet but they looked good in the day. I need to come up with a dc male wired directly into the two wires that run to the power source. Don't want to cannibalize the AC converter just for the power cord. I am not sure either which wire from the male plug would be positive if I do go that way but I guess I can figure it out at the expense of a blown fuse.

Ill be back.

Good Lawd, look at the traffic! That is crazy! I don't think I could ever live like that again. A mans just gotta have a little elbow room, ya know?
I'm glad you guy's have got your poop in a group. Don't mess around with this one. Just head over to Martin's place for a few days. He loves ya. Southern hospitality and all, just don't show up empty handed. Grab some crawfish or gator or 'coon on your way out of Fla. I know you'd do the same for him.
Or heck, if you got an extra week or two come on up here, I'll take care of ya. I hasn't started snowing yet, but you never know...
Anyways, Godspeed you guys. Take care of each other and we'll see you on the other side.

Mcdave I think I would sell a kidney today if I could just travel around to seasonable climes. Montana, Main, Colorado, Northern Cali. Yellowstone and so much more. Yeah traffic here is murder especially on I-95 daily commute. I really do feel trapped and stifled here. That's why I live for camping and riding. To get the hell away from it all.

Glad to here you friend is ok from the deer/Harley crash. Impressive for 70+
All those ranches that burned like you said. I had not heard about it. Very sad. Sorry for Montana. Stunning loss all the way around.

Take it easy Mcdave. If I get to the other side first, Ill have a cigar and a shot of Fireball waiting for ya! Ill take my drink cold and frosty and maybe a pass of that lefty If you beat me to it. 8)

Got to ride this storm out. Neighbors are boarding up. Looks like 2005 all over again.

Tommy,
Ya'll be safe down there if you try and ride it out BUT if you need a place to hide out, load up the CTC and head up my way. If we run outta space here we'll put you up out at mon and dads. They've got 43 acres in the country, you can ride out the storm and fish on my private honey hole pond and take a dip in the swimming pool.

Seriously though head this way if you need a place to hide out, we'll find room.

Tommy... going camping the end of Sept. with me?

You'll make it through this. Not sure if my house or CTC will if it goes as current fcst. Says. But I have insurance on the CTC like I do the houses to rebuild. If I have to build another CTC, It will be even better. Learned alot that I can apply.

Need any help getting shutters or etc. on the house, let me know, I'll be over to help.

Tommy B & flaboy, Howdy;

Tommy just remember what the code for your house was when it was built.. if it weren't for Cat. 4 then I'd head out.
