Actually got me thinking about that basin! Redneck hot tub for my CTC when I an hooked up with services. Just need a 12vdc submersible pump to drain into sink when done. Hot tub in the kitchen! Yes! LoL

Been a few times when a long soak in a hot tub after a long day of riding would have been nice!

Is this going too far?? :-)

flboy wrote:Tommy, instead of the whole hoop thing, why not get a few light earth magnetic hooks for curtain (maybe 5 or more as desired) and then just screw or glue 5+ metal washers to the roof in circular pattern where you want to attract the magnetic hooks that hold the curtain. No more hoop! Then just stick the curtain up when you want and fold it up and put in drawer when it dries out.

You can get a fabric shower curtain similar to what I use. They dry quick and fold up small and are not stiff plastic.

Could also get a collapsible water catch for basin to eliminate blue bin.

I will edit with magnetic hooks and water catch I have in mind.

Edit.. here you go. All for $50.00. Problem solved. All portable and foldable with no hoop. Could use existing basin of course. But this one would be less confined and is flexible to fit your space. Bonus as it does fold up small for storage.

The hooks in any case solves the hoop dilemma.

BINGO, my thoughts exactly. The curtain rail WILL run behind the small wall as you come in to!

Save some days off for camping! Soon as I get back from Spain next weekend and firm up dates for China trip, we can try to put one on the calendar. Really bummed out next weekend's trip got messed up by work. It just gets in the way of fun!

Btw.. looks like you are ready to reinstall AC cover. Any wires need to be moved or are you okay?

Home depot brother, 6 inch wide , one inch thick, 8 feet long but they come longer.

Still much to be done. Slow and tedious. :?

McDave, Howdy;

Wow, that link took me back to the Summer of '72. Working as a Carpenter's Apprentice
and had the wonderful job of laying sub-flooring. These were 'Custom Made Homes" so the
sub floor was 1"X4" T&G laid on the bias and nailed in with 6 penny nails. No nail guns, all
by hand-held hammer. Back then when ya did a days work is really was a days work. When
I was done whit the floor then I had to go below to put in the "X" bracing ya see in "older homes".
Thanks for the memory.

Hank you are welcome. I can appreciate what you experienced I think? Some how satisfying as that next custom fit piece slips into place. That piece that took so much extra thought and out right skill that you must come up with cause there is no easy button here brother. That ONE inch thickness of the planks has really up ended the cabinets, shower curtain and all, the bathroom curtain and god knows what else. These pics show not much new but there is 10 hours today!

In my 6X12 I used small cup hooks in the ceiling, with the nylon curtain on an eighth inch elastic cord. In my 7X16 I still use some cup hooks and elastic cord for the shower curtain to go over the wall in the shower that isn't frp. The system works well and is easily movable and adjustable.

Are the cup hooks permanently screwed in or magnetic? Please.

I keep going back to this thought....you know the track like hook system you see in an exam room? Its small, not to notacible, and I would run it from behind the small wall and out into the hoop location, and into a circle. You cant axcidently knock the curtain down, it roles out smooth on those track/rollers.

I have a few of these change rooms at work that have this track/curtain system so I can study this and the only problem I see might be getting track to circle in a 26-30 inch circle.
I will post a pic of this if I can.

Thank You Rainier
