I got pics of finished trailer and it’s white so I guess it’s not really the color we wanted. I plan to pick it up Thursday.

Yes, Fantastic vent or Maxxair fan on higher speed would overwhelm the small pc fan of composting toilet. Open window or intake vent could help to avoid such "backup" air flow.

Oops. Don’t want to suck that smell into bathroom. There will be airflow under door. Maybe that will be enough to not overcome the fan

I made it home with my trailer. Pulled it through some rain and it appears dry inside today. I guess it’s time to insulate....

On my first build I insulated the 1” area between studs with 1” foam. I see that Flboy put some standoffs on before using 3/4” insulation on his. Is this better than the 1”? I know it’s less R value in foam but does the air gap help somehow besides letting condensation run down the sheet and out the bottom?

I used one inch Polyiso in the walls and two inches in the ceiling... and real glad I did.

I figure I need the door, windows, water heater, compartment doors and grey tank to do some modifications to frame first. I ordered a 40 gallon tank and a water heater today. I’m looking for a 30x72 (or there abouts) rv entry door. Anybody have a good place to order this from? I’d kinda like the compartment doors to match....

Yeah.... I’ve found a lot but what I wish is there was a one stop shop with all the sizes in entrance doors and compartment doors that matched in shape and color.

Good question. I think I’ve found some that will work.

I’ve got a bunch of stuff ordered, basically everything that will require a hole in exterior sheeting. I plan to pick some 1” tubing up tomorrow so I can be kinda ready to do some welding when the parts all get here. I need to pull ply off so trailer is ready.

Gray tank, windows and compartment doors came today. I went and picked up the welder and started taking ply off.

Today I finished taking ply off of walls and the back two pieces from floor so I can install grey tank. I have to cut a floor joist and weld some pieces in.

I have basically given up on the idea of using solar to run ac. I do plan to use a 12v refrigerator so will probably go with 400 watts of solar and a lithium battery. Ac and microwave will run off 110 along with ac plugs. I probably won’t even use an inverter and will basically have two separate systems. The way I plan to use the back of trailer for a closet I can always rewire if I get more panels and batteries.
