we are not just talking about gravity. With travel that water seal will splash out of
the trap... Would the '-waterless trap' work in th at situation?

What is the RV standard in this situation?

Most RV's I have seen have the P Traps and no issues. Really, it would take a whole lot to splash the water out to the point of loosing the vapor seal. Not much to worry about. In any case, it is gray water... wouldn't be stinky like the black water... which has the toilet sealing it up with no P trap. The toilet is a direct drop in. With gray water, that is tough to do with a bathroom sink, shower and a kitchen sink in different locations in relation to the tank.

Larry, if you were not planning on a P trap.... you just need to build the floor for the shower up a few inches and then you can offset the plumbing however you need to drop it into your gray water tank or onto the ground or external/portable holding tank. (however you are doing it). That should solve your problem in any case and maximize headroom. Also, if you need the headroom, you could put a nice skylight directly over the shower... that is what they do in a lot of trailers to gain headroom in the showers after they build up the floor to accommodate plumbing.

I had a ptrap on the bar sink in my other camper and room to put a drain bucket below that inside the camper. I never saw any problems with "splashing water" around or with the bucket the way I had it either.
It's best to have all sorts of options ready on plumbing. lol

flboy, I will probably have to build up the floor for the tub/shower tying the sink and tub in together later. The height is no problem since I have 7 foot height inside. Since the trip is in two weeks and I have 1000 other little loose ends to finish up, our shower is going to have to wait. and yeah, we're using a small external/ground tank.
Until I get the trailer lifted down the road, there's just not enough room for a decent tank strapped underneath. = I'm uncomfortable with that height. lol

I understand on the trailer height. I have drop axles and there is not a lot of clearance underneath. I am going to see how it goes and if I need more, I will flip the axles to the other side of the leaf springs. That will add quite a few inches.

Will do. I spent last night and this morning getting out the tools and cans of pain, other items not necessary for the first trip. 2 weeks to a 7 day stay Huntington State Park, SC. I plan to do some flounder and drum fishing.
Hopefully lots of pics.

Well, I'm about as done as I can be.
Loaded up the boat and the golf cart today. The winch pulled the boat up effortlessly. No more old man doing it issues. LMAO

We're at Huntington Beach State Park (Murrel's Inlet, SC) having a blast.

Today we have a dolphin excursion and a near shore fishing trip lined up.

Wow, what a large trailer, nice. And it looks like you are pulling it with a Tacoma. I am impressed with both.

Yes. The tacoma we have is rated 7500 from the factory with factory tow package. We had no issues on a 239 mile one way trip. :

The upgraded size for us was super nice on this trip. I can't even begin to think of using our old CTC again now. I'm spoiled. LMAO

We've done two more weekend trips since that one.
note *1 is we need to replace that stock fan with a fantastic fan. ASAP.
note *2 we need to take the old inverter out of the first CTC and put it on the new one for camping without shore power. I had forgot to do that several times before the last three trips.. lmao
note *3 I need to find out about wifi and cellphone boosters.
note *4 Checking out what it's going to take to install a RV awning on the side below my ladder racks...

Wolfscout, Howdy;

Here is what I use; http://www.jefatech.com/product/RV-KIT- ... --USB.html
These folks have other options as well. I use this on my home (RV), If the RV Park
or campground has decent, up to date equipment and they have their system
optimized then you have a good chance to grab their signal. However, you can not
grab a signal that can't reach you no matter what you are using ...
