Just going to winterize my mom's TT. Then I may follow her home. She "gave" me a love seat 3 years ago. I just might get it

Hi Padilen. How are you liking the DRZ? Lets see some pics. Did it fit in TAZ okay or did you have to adjust mounts?

I haven't tried getting it in yet. Been busy, busy busy,& working on DRZ.
I did get TAZ in the pole barn today. I deflated the tires of TAZ and rear of truck. Deflated air bags and added about 300-400 lbs in back of truck &trailer. Squeaked and squeezed it in.
I haven't got many pics as I'm still cleaning up the DRZ. I did get side panels looking fairly good. Front fender is still a mess with lots of road rash.
Pro Tapper's are not staying, still haven't decided on bark Buster's. I think I want them with turn indicator's. Then fender elmanator and new rear indicator's. Image

Looks very nice! You will enjoy that. A lot of little things you can do to increase performance and there is a ton of stuff on the aftermarket and on e-bay for them.

Barkbusters are required equipment for me. I can't tell you how many times my fingers would have been crushed by the levers when I have bounced/bumped off trees in very tight single track. And it does not take much of a bump to do that.

I would not ride offroad in the woods without them... never mind just breaking off the clutch lever and not being able to shift well to get back.

These are the type I run with on my KTM. You can get plastic wind deflectors that attach to them which are nice for cold weather, but not needed here in Florida.

Why are you taking off the Pro Tapers? Ergonomics? Those are great bars and they flex some and do not pass the vibrations to the wrist joints which use to make my wrists hurt bad after a day of riding. This was on my old KLX-300 that had steel handlebars and I switched them out for Pro Tapers at the time.

The Pro Tappers were bought for the TW. ATV hi, which many recommend. I didn't like them on the TW and bought another cheaper bar closer to stock bend. The bend I like but not the tingy feeling. So I stuck the Pro Tappers on the DRZ. Nope no no, I don't like them, it's the bend. I also tried my cheap hand guards, ones that I had on the TW too. I managed to bend one enough to fit. Snapped the other one when I tried to bend it. I was doing good height wise, until I replaced bald back tire. Again omething off my TW that I didn't like!. I do think it's good for the DRZ though. But once again it made the DRZ a little high for me. I want to avoid SM wheels but...
Kickstand hasn't been shorten yet. And has gotten me in trouble a couple of times. Looks like some 40's this week. Hope to get time to ride. And I'll have winter to earn money and work on the DRZ.

I just spent about an hour with my friend that "reclaims" old trailers. I had given him my pickup camper heater for his unit. He got it somewhat working, but his friend was able to repair his. So I stopped by to pick up mine and see what he was working on. Now my "seeing" is to ask ideas and discuss repairs. I like the vintage trailers and while he thought he'd just do a quick flip on this one. I convinced him it was his show piece. I'm very excited to see how he does the repairs and if he uses the designs we discussed. I'd buy this trailer as is or when completed. It has so much potential!

It's a Trotwood model 22.
Ive been looking for info and this is the closest I've found.
Supposedly they were the first to do the canned ham shape.
I just like the layout, the appliances and all the birch inside.

Very nice! How wide is that back door... could it fit some dirt bike handlebars through there? May be able to cock them to reduce the width profile a bit also as you go through if the wheel has room to move left or right coming in? That would increase the value in my book for sure.

Those old Jalousie windows bring back some childhood memories. Our house had them in the 70's in Florida. Kept them windows open most days and nights for the breeze since the AC rarely worked.

The "Canned Hams" are making a comeback. I have seen some brand new "retro" campers around here lately. All with the primary Red and white and etc. colors. I really like that look.

Some history on the Trotwood:

I'd buy a new one for $375! :-)

It's low and narrow e exit door. His doesn't have the Jalousie windows. It was originally that paint color salmon.
FYI as it sits in need of work it's still valued $$$. Just a quick get-er-done he would get 7000 to 9000 for it. What I hoped I talked him into was a complete restro. Doubling those numbers. Smaller "cute" ones go for a lot, compaired to the bigger tandems. He has done well on a few tandems, but those were rare brands.

Oh and I forgot with all the 6" added height .
The ceiling is over 6' which may also be why I like it, it feels roomie. He's coming over today to get the 4x4 TT bumper that was cut off my TT frame when it was made into my utility trailer. So I'm going to be persuading him some more.

Ok ! Don , Dennis said he has another Trotwood that is just like the pic I posted. The one I like they bumped it out so rear roof line is different than the pic- that has no bathroom.
Unfortunately, the bathroom on this was poorly repaired and redone. He now has rear off and it's worse than he expected. So he may do a easy flip not a resto.
