Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

That's what I plan to do on my ceiling. Makes sense to me.

I have not gotten my gray water tank. I need something shallower than my local business offers. Might have to order from someone online.
Need that item sorted before I begin to run drain lines.

I lucked out on tanks. They were from the donor camper and are 15 inches wide which means they fit exactly between my 16 in OC floor joists.

My first camper I used a Thetford smart-tote 12 gal deal. It's ok for weekend trips; but we intend to take many more trips that are longer than our usual 1 weeker a year with many 2 and 3 day trips mixed through out. I'd rather not have to haul it to the dump site so often over a week.

Your build is going fantastic! :applause:

Is that an fan between the upper and lower cabinets in your galley? If so, could you say what make it is please?

I'm really curious to see the plumbing for your gray/black water tanks. Please take pics and post them.

Take care,
Tom

The fan beneath the cabinets is a kitchen exhaust fan. I found it at http://www.vintagetrailersupply.com/Sidewall-Exhaust-Fan-p/vts-391.htm
I have one in my first build and it works great for cooking as well as cracking one window you can really feel the breeze it pulls through. Price of $59.99 seems high until you use it a few times.
I may just keep using that tank I have temporarily. I still haven't found a gray/black water tank in the size range I want.

This weekend the wife and I got the ceiling done so far. We put in some Lowe's R4 foam ceiling panels one 3/4 and one 1/2" per section. That should give us a as much insulation as we can get up there. We put coastal cedar panels (that we used on our last camper) to finish it off. Later we'll add some molding to cover the screws.
We worked on the painting some. Going to do the inside of both RV doors in primer and green tint chalkboard paint. Be a right nice idea to keep notes and such on. Us older builders need that. :FNP
Today we'll finish the paint and clean up everything so I can start on the drain for tub and sink and the flooring next week.
Pictures coming later.
So far so good.

Image of the ceiling done. double layering of panel insulation with coastal cedar panels like I had said.
another step closer to be done. Next up is tinting windows, flooring, and sink and tub/shower drain lines.

Thanks. Yep, This time we wanted brightness and more lights. Wait till I finish all the courtesy LEDs I'm working on. LOL

sighs.... For some reason, this damn floor is giving me the fits. ARGH!
during my breaks in frustration, I've put some courtesy 12v LEDs on to the bed frame too. That'll make the wife happy. ( she fussed alot about how dark the other camper was at night considering how crowded and cramped it was.)

Also added another outside receptacle for rope lights around the campsite. Always a coolness factor and helpful when you're on walks to the campground toilets and showers. LOL

Still contemplating just how I'm going to put that upper deck on those Ladder racks.

New update images. Don't mind the tools everywhere. LOL
first image is I've been working on the floors and cut the lumber for slats on the bed. 2nd image is looking to the rear shower and bath area (also showing some of the flooring).

I got some small stuff done this weekend when family wasn't here.
Mounted my TV and built a Satellite and DVD holder shelf, all wired up and working.
Also ordered what I need to have a winch pull one of my boats on top of the camper. Another project I didn't know about LMAO.
Tomorrow I'm going to cut some more flooring with the table saw and hopefully I'll be done. ( Have not worked on the floor in a few days cause it's bad on my back.)
Only major thing left to do after that is to plumb out my drain lines. Not looking forward to that for same reason... Back issues.
But I'll get 'er done.

BTW .. Wife is now saying my upper deck is going to have to have power 110 and 12v.
She wants to be able to have a radio and some courtesy lights up there. Hell, I haven't even figured out the flooring for it yet and I've already got the boat winch stuff coming. Chuckles

How big is the boat? Too big to fit inside the CTC, I suppose. Seems like winching it up on the roof is a lot of work.

If you put 110vac up on the roof, make sure to use a good GFCI breaker. Being out doors with the possibility to be wet and be grounded on a metal roof could create a shock hazzard.
