Thanks Padelin... I do really appreciate that. My son is really going to like to have one of those. Not so sure about his wife though. I am sure he will want to get my two grandson's use to the smell of premix. He has already bought his 3 year old a KTM-50 with training wheels. Gotta love it. I raised him right.

edit: I ordered a Pre-Mix candle for him. I will take it to him when I go out to Dallas at the end of the month to see him.

I know this is a trailer blog... But it is a part of my CTC Toy Hauler in that regard.. I know you will appreciate this in any case since you like Dual Sport and etc.... Found some clamps and high output LED lights and made some good off-road lights for the KTM-690R. I added the Seat Concepts Seat (Stock KTM seats are really hard) and Enduro Windscreen as I outfit this as an Adventure bike for the TAT and etc.. I also added Scotts Steering Damper to give me some relief on long washboard roads and deep sand. Now I just have to get the Wolfman pannier soft bags for tools, gear, and etc. and it is ready. Have a 500 mile 2 day (camp off the bike) trip planned in late August up in the Smoky Mtn's with my brother (called the Smoky Mountain 500). Mostly off paved roads through a few states. I am not familiar with the route, but he is. Part of it is a portion of the Eastern section of the TAT which will be a good warm up and equipment checkout.

You are very blessed!
Since I have problems with oders I won't be getting a candle. Premix bothered me for a few years too. It's not right now, but straight gas is. Confusing!
I had an issue with my DRZ Wednesday. I'm hoping it was bad gas. Today I was going to swap sprockets and a few other things. But my day sucked. Spent hours looking for somethings. Then didn't need them when I found them. And the parts that came today- I ordered wrong stuff. But I tried to mod them to work. Yeah that's was a fail too. Then I spilled gas on the 100% goggles I won. So now I still have to do anti freeze drain/refill and either just rear sprocket. Or hope that the lock washer- the one you bend over. Is still reuseable. I wanna try to lower gearing. I'm finding stock a little tall for what I want.
Hope you have a great visit with you son/family. And a good ride with your brother. I still can't find anyone to ride with. But I just rode by myself.

Just search parts schematics, part for front sprocket is correct. So apparently the changed the look of it.

I agree that I am blessed. I thank the Lord every day for his grace and the hope I have. He has given me a great family and allowed me to prosper despite myself.

I do have those frustrating days like you are describing. Seems like I need some of those to appreciate the good days. Today was a good day for me.

I ride by myself off road a lot. I lost my best riding buddy when my son went off to college, got married and moved away over 6 years ago now. Others come and go. I was real happy to run into Tommy two years ago. He was in the same situation having to camp and ride solo. We had some fun. Now he is hurt and it is not looking good for him dirt biking anymore . :( We will camp together as soon as it cools back down enough for him. I have joined a Dual Sport Club and go on club rides when I can. I have lots of street bike riding friends at Church, but none ride dirt which is what I like best. It is fun to take the Victory out with my wife and others to go to dinner and etc.

I was planning to do the TAT across the US Solo as well next year in June as that is top on my bucket list and I had no one who could go with me. My wife was putting up a lot of fuss. It was because she is worried about me getting hurt and dying by myself somewhere (glad she cares)... I never think about that. In any case... one of my two brothers has taken a recent interest in adventure riding, has bought a KLR-650 and is up for the challenge. My wife is super happy about that.. and so am I since it will be nice to spend some quality time with my brother riding ~5,000 miles mostly off road and camping where we land for the night. This is why I bought the KTM-690R. Not a full up dirt bike like my KTM 450EXC.. but mediocre on the street, very good offroad/dirt, and great for adventure riding. It will go in the back of the CTC next year when I head out in mid January to start a 3-4 month adventure in the Southwest BLM land and National Parks along the way. It is as close as you will get to an all around bike... like there is such a thing.. that is why I have three (dirt , street, adventure).

Hang in there and enjoy your rides when you can. Just find safer places to ride so help is not too far away. When I am out next year running around the country riding in the National Parks and etc.. If I get up that way, you will have to show me around the local woods. I plan on taking the whole year off next year while I decide what to do with myself. Retiring from my career of 35 years to do some things on my bucket list while I still have the health to do it, then I will find part time work to supplement my expensive hobbies and adventures . :-) That's the plan anyhow unless the Rapture occurs before that!

Sorry to hear about your other issues today. I have those days too. I swear I spend two hours just finding tools to do a 15 minute job sometimes.

The worst part of having a CTC. Looking out back and seeing this and not being in a campsite somehwere. :(

Must be having a case of the Sunday night blues as I prepare for a busy work week. :NC

I have my hitch in and every thing but bike and food in. I was just going to be hauling it to work. Changed my mind so now I have to unload my truck

You can camp at work? What do you do for work?

I'm still working in Maple syrup. We bottle when we get orders. I do some other things over there too. Today I labeled what we had bottled Friday and mowed the farm. I should have gotten TAZ over there Thrusday and stayed. I had planned on getting ready Wednesday! But my mom came up to her place. She's not well so I went over to see her and fix her dinner. I'm going camping this year don't know where or how but I am.

I see.. so you just stay out on the farm overnight. Still nice once in a while I bet.

I ride my motorcycle to work when I can, and it always seems to be a little more fun that day... at least the commute any how.

I was planning on taking the DRZ and talking Jim(boss/friend) into a ride. Spring is finally here and I'm busy doing lawns and detailing cars. We went from white to green!

I saw Iconfabul8's fish eye lens pics and remembered I had one for my cell phone. It gives a more complete perspective which I had not done before on my interior finish and design. Here it goes. I got the whole thing. I was going for the bright modern look. Get's the wife more excited about it and have her camping with me finally after 34 years. Tents didn't do it for her. :-) For me, it is a full featured, well built/sturdy base camp with all modern conveniences to launch off on adventure from that I can pull easily with my F-150, take my motorcycles with me in, and boon-dock off grid for weeks at a time, but I can also pull into a full hookup site and feel at home with all the other RV's (and when I do, I typically get a lot of visitors asking for tours and wondering where I got this). I tell them Home Depot and Amazon.

Exterior for completeness . Not much stealth here. I cut alot of holes in this cargo trailer. It has been 2 years since mostly completed and we just had a solid week of rain here in FL with more on the way for Memorial day weekend... no leaks after thorough inspection. Do not be afraid to cut holes if needed... just use Dicor Tape liberally and follow up everything on the roof with Dicor self leveling sealer!

This new CTC one is a bit more complex than my first attempt about 6 years ago below. I liked it alot and I learned alot building it, but it had no shower, hot water or fixed toilet... so I had to go solo, which works for me most of the time. :-) I miss it . Something nice about simplicity ;-)

Looks fantastic bro. It’s crazy how different everyone’s builds are. People have different wants and that translates to different layouts. That’s my favorite part.

Flboy,
Just wanted to pop in and tell ya, your build is stellar! I was showing my mother some picture on mothers day and she was blown away that it wasn't a purchased traier! I learned a lot, most of which might not help me with my build, but still love the way everyone shares info and ideas here!
