It is a disease! LOL... I am just going to get new tires when these wear out more. I am keeping the existing wheels. I want to just get a larger diameter and increased load rating.

Got this 12,000mah (12aH) Lithium Battery pack from HF for jumping my motorcycle battery or power for misc. devices when camping off the motorcycle. The little 39W folding solar panel charged it nicely. The two items together make a good solar generator for saddle bag.

Sweet idea Don. I could use one of those for the bike myself. It could come in handy for running the pump to blow up a air mattress when we're just tent camping on the bike, or pulling the little bike trailer for extended rides. I might just have to look into one of those.

I got a Wifi Range extender (amplified with 8db of antenna gain) in the mail yesterday to wire up. Same idea as the cell phone booster, but for Wi-Fi. Going to try it out at Biketoberfest in a few weeks. Hopefully will be able to pickup Wi-Fi from nearby hotels or etc. or any unsuspecting soul who doesn't secure their WiFi . It is supposedly good enough to boost bi-directionally for a few miles line of sight, but I know advertisements like that are only under optimum and ideal conditions and are reliant on the Wi-Fi hotspot a bit also as you need some small signal returned to amplify. Even if I can't always get a mile or so, I can see when boon-docking in Walmart parking lots or etc.. I'll be able to pull WiFi from the parking lot. Also, I should be able to park somewhat near a Starbucks or McDonald's (or etc.) and get their WiFi under the right conditions. We'll see if it is true. I know folks do it in urban places all the time. Theoretically it is possible and this does amplify both ways. Even with decent signal nearby, these devices, if nothing else, should improve the data rates as the boosted signals usually don't have the same throughput errors as noisy or weaker signals. Same idea as having one bar or 5 on your cell phone. You will notice how much faster the data is with 5 bars over 1.

In any case, Just another antenna to put on.. It will be at home with the rest of them. ;-)

note that so-called 12AH is (at best) calculated based on the 3.7V of the internal lithium cells.

So maybe 3.7AH at 12V

That panel could charge a much bigger battery if you find you need the capacity while camping.

No. Just needed for charging a cell phone or running a few led lights. Not sure how they calculate. I do know they excagerate claims based on ideal lab conditions and only plan on half in any case. It will work for its intended purpose. The whole point is small and portable.

Just FYI, and for others. The portable powerpak market is full of scammers.

Note LEDs can add up pretty quick with late nights.

Watt-hours wH are a better unit than AH once you get away from standard 12V batts, independent of voltage.
