Seems like months ago. Oh wait..it was. I was only going to replace the floor because I tweaked the door 4 years ago and it leaked and a hole formed at the junction of the two floor panels right at the front entrance. Plus the two pieces of plywood up front were water damaged at the bottom. Well then it all exploded after that.

Nothing really ever worked out like I planed and drew up. I finally realized to let the trailer dictate space and layout and I just approximated things visually. Wood is very forgiving but I still had to totally tear out the kitchen because the hood range was out of spec in height from the top of the burners on the stove. I will show you with pics. Just one of many pitfalls.

I was looking back and saw these two pics. Wow. Two of the biggest mistakes I've made. I understand that perko battery switch NOW. It melted as I stated. The kitchen fiasco took two weeks to correct.

I also forgot to mention I hooked up the water pump backwards. I could here it running and I waited for a minute. Then the water tank pressurized and shot water clear to the back of the trailer from the vent hole. Panic ensued. For some reason I had to disconnect the battery terminal. I Did not think to turn it off in the moment. I really wish I researched more prior to the build but I never really planned on doing this at the time. After looking at some real builds here, mine is mediocre at best but it is solid and right just simple. It has that cabin feel for me and can take some dirt and camp fire smoke abuse. But man some of you guys are talented.

Still plugging along. While waiting for stuff to arrive I am trying to figure out this partial wall. I would like to make a port hole or oval window with something like stained glass, or textured plexi glass. Colored blue or green. Maybe gold to allow light to filter in the toilet area. Would also add warmth and charm. I have decided to name my C.T. I will call it the XP-1. Stands for X-CAPE POD 1. My first!

Something along those lines. Plastic acrylic, Plexiglas. An oval or portal I think. And a sign that says please be seated as Its starting to look like a confessional booth. Yikes. Confess what you ate last night! Hope some of you have a little humor! Don't take me too serious.

The 5.5 inch cool max mattress. So finally no more inflatables that always deflated some time in the middle of the night right? It seems very comfortable and has a 120 day return policy. But I know I will not be returning it. I did purchase the encasement but don't have it yet.
The black tank with factory installed fittings will be here Friday and this weekend the real fun begins. How to hang it securely. We will see. The door with window will be here sometime next week.

Also I would like those bed legs to fold up maybe but I don't know if there is any thing sturdy enough like those 2x4 legs on now. They are not in the way too much as is and maybe I can live with it the way it is. But when loading/unloading maybe they will. Have to see.
