Hey Hankster!, ugg, one way or another my friend, soon. The new lid should arrive tomorrow maybe. In the mean time, Lowered the curtain rod by 2 inches or so. Major task. Wired and mounted the kitchen Led light. Finally! Procured 45 or so more linear feet of T&G. Sanded and applied lacquer coat. That should do it and then some.

This is really slow going. Still have to butt connect those two yellow wire nuts there in the pic, but not too much more before I button this up. But I said that days ago. :?

Tommy.. looking good. Make sure to leave a relatively easy access to those wire bundles. If you recall, that is right where I had to repair wire connections when your running lights went out that one morning we left fo ONF at Odark thirty.

Flying home from Madrid today. Will give a shout tomorrow. Want to come by to see the progress.

Alright brother, :worship: for a safe flight for you. Hope to see you this weekend. But if I dont.. heres a few pics.

Tightened up the plumbing and electrical along the way. I always planned on doing all this but I did not realize how much work I had yet do. :?

Finally the front of the CT is nearly done. It kicked my butt soo bad, but its done and done right and tight.

So there is the wire trunk. Need to tie all that in.

And those cabinet doors. Oh man. Not even close on the original doors. Again, IDK what the heck IM going to do but I will figure it, out as always.

Still waiting on my new portable shower curtain shield.

T&G ceiling looks great! Lots of work, but worth it.
Nice job, Tommy.

Thank You Mcdave.

So this seems like it will work. I do wish the lid was a tad bigger. I will try out and see if any water splashes out to the ceiling later but all and all Its a go. I may shrink the ring an inch so it sets inside the lid but that's just fine tuning. At the moment still not sure about the quick attach and detach yet.

Donnie, Ima tying that side in like you said. Nice and tight. There is a large gap appearing as I get closer to the front of the CT. I think 1 inch trim will hide but we shell see.

Looks great Tommy!

I got in late last night from Spain and had a bunch of stuff to take care of today after catching up on some sleep (long trip and jet lag). If you will be around tomorrow afternoon, I'd like to come by sometime after lunch to see.

Ok the cabinet doors needed resized some but they will still work. The third cabinet door furthest forward will be a challenge because of the AC shroud. Once I trim it to slip pass the shroud it will leave a healthy gap on top as its hinges are on the bottom. IDK but will think on it.

Left the AC on all night. Fan on low and AC at max. This morning it read 66 degrees. Now usually the humidity is pulled down to like 48-50% so that is curious.

If I can fiqure a way to mount 3 half inch threaded studs in to the ceiling with maybe ian inch protruding I could use big wing nuts to secure the curtain set up. Maybe? Soon it will come to me.

Tommy,
You can just double nut the stud and turn it in with a wrench or socket. Don't forget to not go through the roof. Have you got something in mind to keep from hitting your head on the protruding studs?
Good luck, I like your trailer, the new improvements look great.

Tommy, in regards to humidity, with the insulation now and the oversized AC, it most likely is not staying on long enough to pull the humidity down as much as before assuming that is the case. Prior to installing insulation, it had to run much longer to maintain a cool temp so it had more time to work on the humidity also.

Sometime down the road whenever the unit fails and given the insulation now, may be time to right size the AC setup. It will come with some other benefits such as running off your small gen, freeing up that roof area for a vent and maybe another solar panel, and etc..

For the lid/curtain hoop attachment , how about something like this in the ceiling and then just cut the appropriate size slots in the lid and install the backing plates? Twist and lock. Easy as that.

Four spaced evenly out near the edges where the weight is carried should do it.

Just be aware that anything sticking down out of the ceiling may catch your head with the lower celing ( and that will hurt and gash head)... that is why I immediately went to recessing some washers and using magnetic hooks. I know those rare earth magnets with 20 to 40lb stength would hold that lid on the ceiling just screw them onto lid and then big steel washers (or vice vesa) in ceiling to same pattern on the ceiling.

I did something similar to hold cabinet doors shut. Almost too strong.
