Dang.. $117 seems like alot of $ for a step. Could build one custom height specific for your CTC with scrap plywood rather easy, I'd think? Could make several from one sheet of 3/4" plywood.

I need to build one myself since I jacked my trailer up.. the single step is not cutting it anymore and I am not sure I want to install an RV step. None seem ideal for my application.

Tommy B. Howdy;

Thinkin that all campsites aren't the same distance from the ground to your
door's tread and the suspended type would be your best bet. Some wield on
some bolt on.

Here's the E-Trailer page;

Sumtin' to thought about ... :thinking:

Yes you might consider that price steep at face value but for me it is very worth while as it will be utilized for not only the trailer but the boat too. It will be partially submerged in salt water from time to time as my wife and other family members will utilize it to climb in and out of the boat when hanging out at the local sandbar. My wife awaits a total knee soon.

As far as the height it is perfect and as long as the trailer is level I can smooth the base area out when boon docking if necessary. Just look at that step design allowing for drainage. Those anti skid strips. Don't forget those v notches too!. Easy to rinse and no place for spiders to nest. Yours for only a bit too much but order now while quantity's last! :R

Hey Don this is the minni- winni my sister just bought. She thinks she may want to camp delancey. east or west. However looking at that ground clearance I don't know if I should encourage her.

I did meet them over at long point with the boat. Nice rig. Huge to me. But such low clearance. They actually hit a piece of truck tire tread on the way down. It stuck up underneath and smoked a bunch and then let go but not before breaking the black tank plumping some. :shock:

Its very nice but I still really like mine.

That is fine Tommy. The more the merrier. I am planning to leave work that Wed. Night Nov. 28 after work and get there in the dark and stay through until Sunday AM. A good long camp.

Not sure delancy east will be open? They close that down certain times of year. If it is open, it would be nice to stay over there more away from the noise.

Yes, the Motorhomes are nice, just a different setup for a different mission. More for RV parks than off the beaten path with dirtbikes and etc. My brother has a bus motorhome. Very nice.. but not real camping as we know it and so big, very limited to where he can go in any National or State parks.. has to stay in RV parks.

Idea of camping to me is to be outdoors, so small functional campers that are easier to tow and manage suit me better. That is why I built my own.. could not find a small toy hauler to meet my desires.

I will check back with you when I get back in town Nov.12 I am leaving in the AM for the Philippines. Going to get in some SCUBA diving while there. The wife and I are going on an adventure together. No work this time.

Ok it has arrived. Love it. Saved me a trip to the ER no doubt. Very stable IF the base area is clear and level. At first when I flushed it out with the face of the entrance, there was a root that made the whole step rock and slide as it is one piece and plastic. But I just pulled back some an that did it. Rock solid. Just info. Love it. Absolutely worth every penny just because it reduced my chances of serious injury by 100%.

The last pic is just a shot of the reassembled toilet area. Just a reminder to everyone how easy it is in a 6x12. You would love the convenience and ZERO Oder.

Ok, on my to do list.

$750.00 for the crushed rock. Something to think about. I will also have an electrical outlet within 8-12 feet of the CT with gfi cercuit. Later but very soon.

Tommy, I may need the # of your crushed stone. I've called since September, nobody has showed.
Neighbors have waited since last year. But my other neighbor called and got delivered the next day!

Well this rock thing..... :? in this pic you maybe can see there is still a good bit of rock to spread and level. It was 2 TONS. I am doing it by hand. One hand. :cry: And to boot, I got up against the gate with the CT while backing up. The left gate post snapped below the ground as it was also very rotten. 6x6x8.Shortly after this pic I went over to the gate to take a good look and the whole left front side just fell to the ground. Like 200 pounds. SOO, 800 pounds of concrete and a few cinder blocks and some fencing and it is fixed for my life time. Pic later.

Don will know today on that surgery date. They are trying to squeeze me in before Jan 1st. Yup, fuse the wrist with rod inside the bone. Going to be stiff as a board but no more pain. Hopefully. :beer:
