I bought a brass fitting with a nipple on one end and the 1/2 thread on the other... bought some JB Weld water repair putty (epoxy) mixed it up and wrapped it around the nipple, then inserted into the broken hole.. it is hardening good.... I will try it out tomorrow.. to see if it will hold water...or leak!!

Finally get a whole day tomorrow to work on the trailer... hopefully I will make some big progress!

JB Weld for PVC/Plastic is some amazing stuff if that is what that is. If you got it on the inside of the crack where the pressure is on the backside.. it will probably hold. I have used that stuff before for repairs and it is good stuff.

Yes Don it is pretty good.... we used a commercial brand to repair metal doors when I Worked at a hospital for the Lock down doors in the psyc unit.. that the contractor drilled wrong... could never tell! also... when I was younger ( a long time ago) I bought a 67 Mustang for $200 pretty rusty... so I had this bright idea to cut the metal fins for the vent intake.. (up by the hood).. so I could get the leaves, crap and rust out.... then I was going to spot weld them back... well that didn't work out very good.... but I used the JB Weld epoxy putty and was able to make them almost look like I had never touched them... whew!!!

Yup, I agree with McDave, turn stuff off if you aren't going to be around. Livin'
in an RV fulltime I learned early to shut off the water whenever I'm going to be
gone for any length of time. I was lucky an had no major or long term damage.
I also take the pressure off the system by opening a tap. Static pressure can leave
a crack that you'll find later when you turn the pressure (water), back on. My
system has a check-valve in the system where the water enters the RV when
hooked to "City" water. The constant flow connection. Pumps, can have a check-
valve internally at the out-flow connection. Not all do, so check what the manufacturer
has to say in the paperwork or on-line.

Definitely Hank.... I think that is a great idea!!

I have an illuminated switch for my pump. But it's concealed inside my sink base. Makes sense right!

I was suppose to have the whole day to work on the trailer... but got an emergency call this morning from one of my clients... that their roof was leaking!!! Only in Washington do you have to worry about a roof leaking in the middle of May!! made it back home at 1.... not overly motivated by then... but got out there anyway...

so I finished as much as the plumbing that I needed to get done before I start framing in the bathroom.... ( oh and the epoxy putty broke as soon as I tightened the hose on to the nipple... glad I ordered a new pump.... )

And my Electrical panel came in today! now I can start setting that up! All of the Sudden I have lots to do again!!

All went well.... except! I cut the hole for the black tank too soon.... I decided I wanted a little more side room in the bathroom... so will have to put a piece of sheetmetal over the first floor hole I cut....

The New waterpump arrived the other day, so I installed it... tightened all the fittings... so except for the sink... Round 1 of the plumbing is complete! I got the Black tank set in place, Drain pipe and valve installed... then Cut the hole in the roof for the plumbing vent.... I wish I would of remembered to cut it before I had the ceiling panels on.... of course I ran into one of the ceiling beams... so the pipe had to go up at an angle.... oh well it will be hidden... I bought the camico roofing vent... pretty easy to install..

Image

then I gooped some dicor lap sealant around it just to be safe!

Image

Next I started framing up the kitchen cabinets.... didn't get too much more done... just some odds and ends... ended up having a busy weekend....

Image

looking forward to next weekend.. to get sink installed so I can test the plumbing.. before I start putting up any paneling around the bathroom.
