If the foam eventually all hardens, I will be happy!

I added more 100 Watt solar panels to the roof of my trailer.

I cut 8" long pieces of aluminum angle brackets and used double sided 3M VHB tape to glue the 8" bracket to the aluminum roof. I had to cut short 8" brackets because the undulating contour of the roof would not permit installation of longer pieces without creating large gaps between the long bracket and the roof, which gaps would have prevented the tape to adhere. The short brackets were short enough to obtain good adhesion without gaps.

I cut corresponding 5" pieces of aluminum angle brackets and bolted the 5" brackets to the undersides of the solar panels.

Due to the undulating surface of the roof, I had to first glue down the 8" pieces onto the roof, then temporarily lay down each panel with the 5" brackets attached and shim the panels to the correct height before drilling and bolting the related 8" and 5" brackets together. Every bolt hole alignment differed.

So, I have seven 100 Watt panels on the roof of the trailer, three 100 Watt panels mounted on the roof of the truck camper, plus four 100 Watt ground deployable panels connected to a 90 feet long 2 pair, 6AWG wire. For a grand total of fourteen panels = 1400 nominal watts.

Wahoo! I can now run my air conditioner and keep my batteries charged at the same time (at least during the daytime with full sun).
