:applause: :D

Now that is gonna be one sexy trailer! Love the carpet, love the color. I feel like I've seen that somewhere before...
BTW Newt, I just recently figured out that I was following your first blog, and this one and never made the connection.
I think your choice to start over with a trailer better suited to current needs was very wise. I wouldn't change much, but an extra 6-12" height would make all the difference in the feeling of small. Shorter folks don't even notice it but full sized people like me just feel cramped unless sitting. Then it's fine. My head doesn't always hit the ceiling, but it's close.
Had the rig at the Ironhorse Rodeo and Beartooth Rally this last weekend, and probably gave 60-70 tours. I don't spend a lot of time at the camp, just showers and sleep, maybe 7hrs total/day but some how when folks knew I was there they would "pop in". Made more friends than usual, I had the AC cranked up and there is always a bottle of Jameson sitting on the counter, so that may have been the draw. Plus I'm a pretty good lookin' old guy. Like Santa Claus. ... ;) ...

This weekend I got the front bench/storage area built and put up the rest of the carpet.

Image

I took out the tool box to put the carpet up and left it out until I get the floor installed next weekend.

Still have one piece of carpet to put down on the top of the storage compartment but I ran out of glue.

Plenty of room inside for the toilet, chairs, Easy Up and more.

That is very sharp. Nice work. The storage area will be very handy. I could use a lot more storage, but then I'd just fill it up with stuff. I need to learn to simplify and live with the basics.

I picked up a memory foam twin sized mattress and modified it a bit to fit the V Nose. It's a little narrow but really not any different than sleeping on a couch.

What type of adhesive did you use for your carpet?

Thanks, Darin

I just used the 3M Hi Strength spray adhesive. Seems to work quite well.

I did not get the floor installed this weekend as I wanted to but I did get my Multipurpose Platform finished.

Here it is in the Bunk configuration:

Nice rig! I really like the ceiling. It's a nice contrast to the charcoal carpet. Well done Newt.

The ceiling is just 5mm underlayment from home depot. Originally I was going to paint it white but it looked good as it was so i just left it.

Yes, for the price the quality seems to be top notch. There's really nothing I was disappointed with. I believe they will put windows in if you want them to. If you have the time to wait I would suggest having them put the windows in rather than doing it yourself. It would have save me a lot of time and aggravation.

This weekend I was finally able to get the floor done. The black vinyl diamond plate I had was not going to be long enough to reach the front, so my plan had been to use the scraps from the section I cut out to go around the cabinets to fill in the area up front. But I was at Menards and found that they sell these pre-cut remnants in 6'x9' sections. So I decided to cover the floor in the kitchen are with a nicer looking wood grain pattern. I think it turned out pretty nice. I still have a large enough section of the black diamond plate left over that i plan to use as a mat to put down over the wood grain pattern when I need to park an ATV up front also.

Oh man, that looks DE-LUX. Nice job Newt. Your partner seems to like it, too. Well, if you find yourself in the Doghouse, it might as well be a nice one... just sayin'...
