I am new here and have looked around. I used to want a Teardrop but waited too long. Got older and less likely to use any small space. As I stated in my intro I have camped a lot since childhood.

I figure this is my last Rig and build, so I may have overreached. TBD. http://www.legendmfginc.com/products/19 ... Nose-Cargo

As the title states, I have a 2018 Legend 7X17 V-Nose with a few factory options. 30 amp RV service, Fluorescent lighting and LED. Advantech floor and wall. 2 screened windows, roof vent and screened RV door. Ramp rear to load 2 motorbikes with 8-5K tie-downs. 2 axle rubber suspension, 7K load capacity. I had it built to order, took 3 months. Picture is from pickup near South Bend. I was nervous, I hadn't towed for 16 years. My last big rig was an Avion with 2001 Base Ram, that is the second picture. In that pic I am camping in Northern Minnesota on 911. I almost stayed right there and didn't go back to any city. That's a story.

Now it's winter. I recently moved from Chicago to a small town. Lot's to do. Also setting up a future Tiny House. Not so tiny, it's 600 sq ft. I am living near it in an old house.
Build ideas and pics in next post. I use Pinterest a lot. Great source for ideas.

Yes indeed. That looks to be a very nice trailer. Should be a perfect platform to build just about any type of toy hauler or camper. You are already off to a good start. Have fun with it and enjoy the process, We'll be watching. Any questions, just ask. Lots of help here.
Good Luck!

Thanks guys, I have read about all of your creations.

I hope to make my CT fairly simple with removable components.

I found I preferred an empty VW Bus to a Westy.

These are just ideas. Please jump in and discuss.

Here's the inside as delivered from the factory. I camped in Kettle Moraine for a week as is. Slept in a Zero Gravity folder. The floor and walls are Advantech. I may panel over the walls. Advantech is slippery. I need to paint with sand? the rear wall/ramp. Notice the tire marks from my Honda PCX150. I hope to DIY spray foam underneath the trailer in the spring. Or put a layer of block foam on top, with less slippery flooring.

The spare tire will go elsewhere, maybe just lower. I am single with no prospects so I will make a folding twin bed on the left side. The bike will be moved back to the ramp. The existing tie downs can be used. I do have to lock down the rear wheel. I never had to tie down the back tire on any bike with my bike trailers. This thing bounces. You can see the rubber on the floor.

I plan on a Suburban RV furnace in a cabinet. No shower, no wet toilet. No black tank. But I want to haul 50 gallons of water for boondocking and a 40 gallon grey tank. I actually need the weight and the water. I also may put a 100 gallon tank in the pickup truck, strap it down at the front. Empty most of the time, ready when needed.

Weight on flat land seems to make no difference to my MPG. I towed this empty 600 miles, I towed it 500 miles with 1000 lbs and I towed 400 miles with 5000 lbs load. Same MPG, the 5000 lbs load did slow down acceleration a tiny bit.

No Solar right away. That comes last, maybe next year as prices keep dropping. I'll add two 6 volt batteries and charger inverter. I'll carry my 25 year old Honda 1000 watt generator.
Trailer has factory 30 amp RV service.

So maybe a sink and pump, after all 50 gallons! Perhaps a built-in cooktop. But now use the portable I got. 2 propane tanks on the narrow tongue. I think I can do it. No AC unless...Need Max fan on top.

Engle fridge when I have a spare grand. https://www.engelcoolers.com/mt45f-u1.html

I am starting to measure and draw a plan. I usually throw out a paper plan and start working with reality. I have made many complex installs in tight spaces. Like the 3rd pic which is how i made a living. That's a Ford 5.0 cast iron at full load on a Dyno. It's running in a room the size of my trailer, Lots of insane plumbing, wiring, and problems. The exhaust is at 1700 degrees and is red hot to the roof 20 feet above. Noisy and a real fire hazard. I have put out a few fires...

Just an FYI on the Engel. They had a sale going on for a while but seems to have ended, but I see where you can still get an on sale price of $700 from here.

I know they had a sale and I am still not ready to buy. My eyes are bigger than my wallet.

Thank you.

I see Mr Heater is selling something similar. http://www.mrheater.com/sporting/ac-dc- ... eezer.html

There is an additive you can buy for paint that makes it non slippery. Having used sand and it , I prefer the additive.

Cool! Excited to watch your build. How did you decide between 6' wide and 7' wide?

Double thanks!

If l were going to spend that much on a fridge l would go for a propane/AC/DC type unit. Is there a reason you don't want this type?
