6x10 Cargo Mate Challenger

Good trip to the beach. Tested out some new gadgets and all worked great! The side table worked well. Used some redneck engineering to get it all together. Zip ties and all.It even doubles as a dish drying rack!

I can't get my mind off the greasy cheese burger with sauteed onions on the other page. Our burgers we cooked were good but... they lacked the onions and the wonderful greasy appeal ya'lls appeared to have! :-) Here I am hungry again!

That’s what smash burgers are all about! Greasy cheesy oniony goodness! So good you don’t need ketchup!

I cure all my own meats, like bacon, sausage, and when it’s March, corned beef (that’s a lie, I usually make several corned beef a year.

I started mine March 1st and we cooked it at camp. Turned out great.

Great as usual. Left overs were made into hash and stuffed into tortillas the next morning!

Went on another adventure last weekend.

Depoe Bay Oregon Wooden boat show.

Camped at the same place as the last campout.

Doing a few more projects in the trailer. Started wiring for a stereo. Hope to complete that today after work. Making a custom mount for the stereo to go into to. Put an am-fm antenna on top. It’s a pretty fancy unit. So I will be able to stream
Podcasts from my phone to it via Bluetooth.

Rough install of the stereo. Still some wiring to do and finish the box. Sounds good though. There's another speaker in the back. Best I can do for surround sound right now! Off to camp again this weekend, that's why we build these things right???

More playing not much of anything to do right now on the trailer. Little things that keep me busy while at camp sometimes. I did replace the Harbor freight tongue jack. Don't waste the money. I went with a Bulldog (same weight) one that can be greased and it work so much better. We have been camping here's a few photos to wet your whistle!

We camp of grid in the dirt and usually try to be near a water source of some sorts if possible.

Some camps are more primitive than others. This one has recently been corralled with rocks as people were abusing the land. Before it was open and people were driving and parking all over everything. Two years ago they had groups of 50-60 people in a this spot over the major holiday weekends. You could still get a number of people in there but not that many. It was also a sanitary concern. There are no facilities.

Image

We play, Please don't throw axes or shoot guns at live trees, in our State its not only illegal, its an A$$ thing to do.

Image

Sometimes we see neat events near where we camp. Civil war re-enactments, vintage motorcycle races!

Or Just good scenery up close.

Trailer is still trucking along. We've been camping 2-3 weekends out of the month for the past couple months now. Few little minor things I want to do to improve livability. Mainly to better organize loose stuff around the trailer. Pulled everything out of the trailer after our last outing and gave the interior a major deep clean. Identified storage issues and plan on addressing those prior to our next outing.

Few photos from our last couple outings.

Test fitted the big canoe on top. Lots of room up there, could load my solo canoe or one of the kayaks with the bog canoe.

Just out using the trailer. Going to need to upgrade the solar, system and move it off the roof. Which knew I’d need to do once I started putting boats up top.
