Is your wall covering reclaimed wood?

Yes, old fence panels that I pressure washed

Anybody use a Rotozip for doing window cutouts?

I did my the cut in my roof with a 4 1/2" grinder with a cutoff wheel. It was easier to keep a straight line.

Have you considered the upright portable air conditioners that you can just vent through the wall or through the floor? It might save you a lot of work in the fabrication of the wall mount but they do take up more space.

Few of them are effective.

Some of the two-hose ones are.

But a standard window-mount up high works better for low-budget IMO

And the fabrication is half the fun! ;)

I disagree that they are less effective than a window unit. I would put them about the same. They are cheaper though.

Links to one you recommend would be great. I've seen three different ones didn't work worth a damn, small boats too. Two had only one hose.

One that was barely effective, had two hoses.

I don’t have a specific one, just in my experience they perform about the same as a window unit. I’m still shopping around for what I want though.

You might have just opened a nasty can of worms, Haha. There are a long string of portable AC failures on the forum. Most people will agree that the single hose in a small space is worthless because as it blows hot air outside it forms a vacuum in the trailer and sucks hot humid air in from outside. Not as big a problem in a house where you have lots of air to pull from. I'm enjoying the builds, keep up the good work!

Stuff ordered from Amazon is starting to trickle in. 8)
The fridge is banged up, as was it's packaging. :(
It's going to be built in, so the only dent that matters is the one in the door.
I'd be satisfied with a new door.
We'll see how it goes.
Got my vents and the AC should be here any minute... UPDATE: Just arrived!
Like a kid as Christmas, I tell ya!

Don't you just love that.. one of my favorite parts of the build was coming home most days and having packages to open.

It's good for the soul to have at least something, no mater how small, to be watching for on package tracking.

A Frigidaire, 5,000 btu.
I'll make my enclosure big enough for something larger, if it turns out I need it.
