We used to do the French press while camping, but its smaller. This will give us a whole pot. Good coffee is part of the morning camping experience. A definite must have.

Etrack is all installed and tested and the closet it ready to receive motocross gear. We are one week out from Fall camping/riding. Decided to try and use this fabric hanging closet organizer (the white thing) for shoes. With 5 of us, shoes really piled up and got in the way the last time we were out.ImageImageImage

I finally got the pig weighed.

3900 with the bed and cabinets, but empty, and 5400 with all the bikes and a few camping things. I did the best I could to keep it light. I don't know whether i succeeded or not. Image

Um, Wow. I guess I would've thought the bikes and ATVs would add up to more than that. 5 scoots at 1400-ish lbs. seems very reasonable. That trailer may be a bit heavier than others of the same size due to the plywood sides and the overall construction seems stout. But you probably had 3200-3500lbs of naked trailer so 3950 is pretty good. Just the roll of diamond flooring was 100lbs., fridge, battery, etrac, A/C, gotta be close to 200lbs. Bed and cabinets at 150lbs., seems pretty good. Could be that coffee maker that is deceivingly heavy? Might have to settle for instant for now... or not. :frightened:

XR-duous, Howdy;

How did you place the combo on the scale? Having been an OTR driver
I've rolled across more cat and other scales then I can count yet I'm
only seeing a single position and the total. Didn't you split the truck on
the first 2 sections to get axle weight and the trailer on the 3rd. (trailer),
pad so you could see how the total weight is distributed? Or did you
just use the long section for the whole rig? Curious, just asking.

Sorry Hank. Somehow didn't see this come through. I detached the truck, keeping the trailer on the second pad and pulled the truck away entirely. Later, I used a household scale and a five ft. Double stack of 2x4's to determine the tongue weight.

This was our fully loaded maiden voyage. Everything went great...even in the torrential downpour we got saturday night! Still dont have stabilizer Jack's, but will definitely be going for 4 of those babies in the coming days. ImageImageImage

One thing almost forgot to ask ... How did ya hang the Hammocks?
I see the blocks in a pic. further up page but how did you secure them
so the kids don't end up on the floor?

Good question. I wrestled with several ideas, but never really found something I was fully satisfied with. So, I ended up creating blocks that I mounted against the metal studs and drove into the plywood ceiling with 4 screws. The d-ring then attaches to that block and the two screws holding it on go through the block and into the ceiling also. The result is a pretty solid connection. I've pulled pretty hard on them and laid in the hammocks myself without any noticeable flex or concern. I think the ultimate ideal would have been some kind of a bolted eyelet all the way through the roof and a stud, but I don't know how you would keep that from leaking.

Thanks for the answer. Have been considering the use of one for myself
in mine as it truly takes up so little space. Used to have one in the Navy
that I'd hang when I could. I'll need to construct a new one if I decied to
go that direction. I was thinking of E-track on both walls and hang it
across on an angle. Take about 2 to 4 minutes to set up or take down.

Yes, I had some extra etrack and definitely considered doing that, even on my ceiling. The set up is great, because when the kids are up, it opens up the entire trailer for other things. You simply unclick it from the d-ring and you are done. I think they can also dub as a storage solution if needed. In other words you leave one hooked up and fill it with whatever you need to get up off the floor. I think it's very versatile in this sense.

Until you get the nice stabilizer jacks the basic 4 for $35 camco manual jacks from Walmart help a lot. As long as you are 9- ~15 extended they are sturdy. I use wood blocking under vs extending the screw out the full 17". And you can use them under ramp door to turn it into a deck as well.
