My new 6x12 trailer is ready at the factory.... all I have to do is go pick it up. :applause:

It will be a simple build
6x12 V-nose single axle
Polyiso insulation
5000 BTU A/C
Fantastic fan
Laptop computer desk
Rear barn doors
RV side door
200-watts of solar
Small inverter generator
Diesel heater next winter
Rustic and rugged.

I can't afford to add all the extra's at this time. The price of the trailer's have gone up so much in the last year. I did buy my Frigidaire A/C, heater, inverter generator, etc. last year at lower prices though.

I was going to mount my little A/C unit like you did in the rear of the trailer, but I will need to use my trailer to haul stuff from time to time so I can't block the rear doors. I bought an RV hatch cover that mounts outside the trailer so I will just slide my A/C out when I need to use it. As long as I have A/C in the deep south, I don't care how.

I understand. Trailer prices as well as the wood and etc. to convert has gone crazy. A/C is a must have this time of year.. I agree!

The first thing I will do is hide a GPS tracker in the trailer.

Might want to check out the top few as generally those trackers have subscription fees
in the $20.00/month range.

I have a tracker with a monthly fee now and it works well. I guess all have either a monthly or an annual fee.

Does anyone believe this little 5000 btu window unit will cool my 6x12 trailer in this heat down here? I will super insulate the trailer well with Polyiso insulation, but it was 93 today with 86% humidity.

Yes, IF you insulate well it will. I am building a 6x12 and have the 5000 BTU installed. I have everything insulated except underneath the floor which I will do before I am done with the build. I live on the central east coast of Florida and the 5000 btu had the trailer at 75 degrees while I was working inside under the same conditions.

I might also note that it runs enough to pull down the humidity as well. It was just streaming water. You will definitely wa t to put in the drain as the slinger will work some, but not keep up and it will overflow.

3/4 of my unit will be outside the trailer so it should drain well.

As I said my trailer is ready at the factory in S GA, all I have to do is make the long trip to pick it up. I'm thinking about having them deliver it half way as I don't ride as well as I did when I was younger. I don't mind insulating it but the only part I don't like is working over my head on the ceiling. Top priority will be to install the A/C.
