New cargo conversion shakedown cruise
Posted: Sun Jul 17, 2022 9:14 pm
Finally got Frankentrailer finished enough to use. ( hope to always tweak and improve it).
Departed central Louisiana Sunday July 3, 2022
Today we arrived in Fairbanks Alaska..
Time constraints kept me from doing a more reasonable shakedown cruise.
Nothing has let me down so far except I had to install cut-off valves in my fresh water overflow tubes .
Ounce by ounce I lost quite a bit of water while bouncing down the road.
Frankentrailer is a 7X16 CargoCraft with 7 foot ceiling, barn doors on rear and tandem 5,200 pound (6hole) axles,
Will post photos if any interested folks chime in.
Special thanks to you active posters for the inspiration, especially Flboy"… I guess our mutual love for motorcycles, especially dual sport bikes kept me watching his build on this forum and YouTube.
Again, thanks to too many more of you to name. I picked up ideas from countless of you guys.
Sincerely
Obsolete.
