Death Valley trip in February

Postby desertmoose » Sat Mar 01, 2014 1:50 am

got away to warmer weather.

Well, while a lot of people were shoveling snow on Valentines day, Kat and I took a trip to Death Valley. Was nice. 81* on Sunday. Here's a sampling of the pictures.

Great pictures. I guess February would be a good time to visit Death Valley.

Did you make it up to Scotty's castle?

Didn't notice!
Looking close though, I think there's a period in there.
Converting 282 feet to meters gives 85.95...
Probably some round off there somewhere.

Should have got out the calculator before I responded.
Then I would probably would have thought about the decimal that I did not see in the picture. :?
But, the picture were still GREAT!

Enjoyed your pictures & to see how you set up camp. Looks like you had a great time.
We were there in Dec and I'm looking forward to going back next year as there's still a lot more to see.
Thanks for sharing.

Sam, Kat. Thanks for the trip report. Last time I was in DV was 4 years ago after the Glyphs freeze out. I think you two where there. I went there to thaw. I had 60/60 weather. 60 degrees and 60 mph wind. But at least I was warm. I often go to DV the first weekend of January for a motorcycle camp.
