Kayak Kingfish Tourney

Postby Sonetpro » Tue Aug 21, 2007 6:36 am

I fished a kayak kingfish tournament last weekend and had a blast. Conditions were rough, 4-5' breakers so it made it tough to get out.
Me and my partner took third place. Not as well as I would have liked but I got another fish plaque for the tear.
My kid's came out also and my daughter made it out past the breakers. She has been paddling my smaller yak for about a month now. Look's like I might have a new fishing partner.

Congrats Steve! You're right, it does look choppy out there. Also, it looks like a lot of junk got washed up on shore.

Well done Steve. Know we just need to see the new fish hanging in the galley!

I still don't know how you guys go out there and fish in those 'yaks.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. You are crazy!!!

I'm glad you had a good time. And if I ever need something retrieved from the ocean, and a yak is the only way to go get it, I know just who to call.
