The privacy shelter held up without any problems. My biggest concern is with high winds. On this camp out the winds got up to around 10 mph and the tarp clamps I used on the corners kept the curtains together. You can see the curtain bellowing out in this pic.
Don't know just how strong the winds can get before the clamps stop holding the curtains together. If the winds get too strong I'll just open up the curtains and make the best of it. I have thought about sewing the curtains together. You definitely have to stake down the two outside corners to keep the wind from bending the EMT pipe at the corners.
Fortunately the only times we really need the privacy shelter is for dressing in the morning and evening hours. During those times and at night the winds are usually very light. At night we like the privacy shelter for using the porta potty. The only drawback using the potty at night is when a four legged creature with a white strip pays you a visit, talk about getting caught with your paints down. If needed we can always use the camp ground restrooms during the day.
I did shorten the curtain rods that are perpendicular to the camper by 6". The dimensions are now 6' X 5 1/2'. I wanted the privacy curtains to be under the EZ-UP shelter so if it rains, water running off the top would not run inside the privacy shelter.
Time will tell if this all works or unless I come up with another idea.
