Checking out a winter spot.

I've been wanting to do a full on winter campout.
Had a spot in mind but wanted to make sure I could find it in blizzard conditions. Only problem was a small but steep hill im sure the teardrop would have problems.
I found a bypass around that today.

It's a easy trail just outside of the city but add snow and it's a fun little challenge.

Pic 1.) The campsite
Pic 2.) A nearby canyon (4wd trail) found this abandoned Chevy caprice.
Surprised this made it up here.

Reminds me of Simpson Springs.

Not quite that far, more towards the 5-mile rec area. Hopefully the snow pack is earlier this year, usually have to wait till February to get just a few inches.
If anybody wanted to join, im up for that too. The more the merrier.
Just a quick overnighter.

Ah. Makes sense.
I'm not very familiar that area, since I generally avoid it. Too many psychos and vandals. ...And the constant dust cloud, if there's no moisture.
Probably not too bad in the winter, tough.

It's on the outskirts of all that mess, generally no traffic on this trail.
