It's at $56 now. I've seen them go for $140, but that's just plain crazy.

I really want one of those, but I am holding out finding one at a garage sale or flea market. E-Pray wants WAY too much for them. I figure they are made in Wisconsin I should be able to get one around here sometime.

Nice find slowcowboy! Free is always a good price. Get that thing seasoned and start practicing making waffles. It will work fine on the Coleman stove.

SloCowboy...high or low base, either one works on the 413 stove. Once seasoned up...hit it with a shot of Pam...when it starts to lightly smoke, pour the waffle. There are lots of us with them. Wire basket with long handles...grill a steak/fish/burgers/veggies if it's a 2 part one. Doug

This one is back. New lower price, or Best Offer

Or, here's one without the waffle dents, more of a "corn dog" maker, complete with a couple pie irons

This one is starting at $60, and has the original box

Waffle dog irons

Postby eamarquardt » Tue Feb 08, 2011 10:39 am

I went to a local aluminum foundry the other day to see about having a new guard cast for an old Delta disk/belt sander I have. Was quoted about $50.

I'm sure that a pair of molds for waffle dogs could be done and for about the same price. One would have to drill holes for the handles and also for the hinge pins but it could be done easily and might be a fun project.

An existing waffle dog iron would be needed for a pattern. The replica irons would be about 1.5% smaller due to shrinkage as the aluminum cools but I doubt even a "waffle dog" expert would be able to detect the counterfit waffle dogs from the genuine article!

Any interest?

Cheers,

Gus

If I could find one up here, we'd have to make it the International Waffle Dog Association :)
