Has anyone purchased a 'refurbished Lodge" dutch oven? There is a 10qt Lodge Logic deep dutch on Amazon for $55. It has been refurbished.
The price is right but the shipping to the Left Coast is $31 when changes things.
The normal one of the same size is only $79 with free shipping. Time to consider expanding the iron.

It was not old or new iron that was the issue but old money. (retired folk rarely get new money.) :(

This is a 10 Qt DEEP Lodge Logic oven, I believe the standard price is $109. You might beat the price but you will never beat the free shipping.

That does look like the Lodge website price. I don't think I payed much more than $90 for my 16in and that includes sales tax.

I just checked Amazon, they have a 10qt deep for $80, that includes free shipping also.

I think I can beat the price by so much that the shipping cost is moot. Hell, I can beat that price at Ace.
Never say never.....

Garage sales are a good place to find good Cast Iron too. Sometimes you get lucky. :o

I have bought at least three DO's and about 8-9 frying pans of various sizes and a chicken fryer, and two Aebleskiver (Swedish pancake) pans and never paid over $20 for any of them at the local flea market....
