It was suggested to me to use "dog" tags where some places you can have them instantly made with a name on it.
I have yet to do though.

George, I went to a local locksmith and bought the tags and rings. I put my initials on them with a stamp set. I already had a HF letter stamp set to stamp my VIN to the trailer.

Don't forget to get a tag for the oven AND lid!

George...I've got brass tags on a couple of them...the dog tag thing works fine, but remember tags can get removed, (I'm just joking here, don't think anyone would do that at a teardrop gathering)....just get one of these...

Till then...tags from a key shop or dog tag will work just fine and are a whole lot cheaper....it's my vanity DO, goes with the trailer when I sell it. ...Doug

Hi George,
Ditto the Locksmith...
I went in to get some key cut and saw a range of sizes.
I didn't ask about having them stamped, but the locksmith who made my keys stamped them and seemed to have a large set of stamps handy.
The tag blanks were only $.50-$1.00 depending on size.

I just used my engraving tool on both pieces. Simple, cheap and can't get lost or removed. 8) Danny

Geroge--

Check out a pet store. The larger ones have machines at the front of the store where you can get a small tag designed to hang on Fido's collar.

As has been suggested, get the brass tags at a locksmith. Get the 1" size.

Get the key rings that we use to attach the tags at a craft store like Michael's.

Don't need it Dean...how many 9" deep ones are out there...9" also seems to be an odd size, so it won't fit many...and yes I did get it cast in the bottom. Doug

Leaving the almost a hijack thread and back to the original question:

Simple and effective.

Or you can get a very nice real dog tag (canine version) from
http://www.boomerangtags.com/ that you can put your full name and ph# on but they are not inexpensive.

I guess I could pull out my old dog tags (2 leg kind) and use them. ;)
