Paul, my guess is that either Griswold made it or the copied the Alfred Andresen (Griswold)
Here's the pics of my Alfred Andresen, looks very similar to your's.

Thanks Kev,
I'll get better pictures when it shows up.
Your A. Andresen looks pristine...Did it look that way when you got it?

Here is another picture of the Andresen Waffle Iron.
Virtually Identical to the manufacturer of yours Paul and spot on for Kevin's.

Not much data on the foundry:Western Importing Company

Your iron was made here:
Western Importing Company
Mineapolis & New York & Montreal

Another address:

You 2 guys need some wood handles turned for those two irons? Let me know the size you need but you'll need to wail for sometime in September when I'm hoping the doctor will let me work again. No charge :D Danny

Don't quote me on this but I seem to remember reading somewhere that Alfred Andresen & Company's earlier name was Western Importing or visa versa...
I also think Griswold made both of those irons...

Wow lots of info...thanks guys.

Jeremy - I bought it from an online antiques dealer for $60 when I couldn't figure out the e-bay thing. It came today and will need a serious cleaning to look anything like Kevin's, but it's not warped and there is no damage other than to the handles.

Danny - YES PLEASE! That would be fantastic. I'll get back with you with dimensions when I get it cleaned up and I would love for you to use your imagination. In all likelyhood, the one handle I got isn't original either.

Steve - As usual a wealth of information! Thanks for the foundry list on the other thread. It will help others make the choice easier knowing the location and possible dates of manufacture.

Well As Norma said "I have a lot of cleaning to do"... :D
