Found a Goldmine of Iron

Postby Mary K » Mon Aug 13, 2007 12:42 am

I was in the local Ma & Pa Hardware Store this weekend, ya know the one that has "stuff" in every crak and cranny of the store. Stuff you can not find anywhere else but ya have to dig for it? Well, I found they carry LOTS of the Lodge Cast Iron. And other makes too. They even had a darn Cauldren for $299, Id say it was a 5 gallon. It was cool!!

Anywho, There all sized of skillets. Ohh and even this little 3" cauldron looking item about the size of a coffe cup with little legs..I couldnt find a lid though. Nor did they have any camping dutch ovens

It blew my mind, I had never seen that much Iron in one place.

When I post a pic of all my iron, it's gonna be next to Little Feather's galley... Gonna be a while yet.

Geron,
Donna is a very nice lady, but collecting just to collect just isn't my bag, I use all my iron. Her wall display looks more like a museum display to me, pretty impressive.
I think she has every size Wapak Indianhead skillet, except the #2 and #14.
I've got four of 'em so far... #3, #6, #8 and #9...

I will have to check it, but if it is I have to brag and rub it in to somebody!

They did not have any DO's. Or what we consider DO's with the lip on the lid and feet. :( Sorry

Dean, looking at the closeups of the Indian head, I don't think what I have is Indian Head....

 I have another skillet somewhere also, that does not get used (it need to be re-seasoned BIG TIME) I will have to check it....

Uh-Yes... Yes I do and so does everyone else now... ;)

Dear All,
Please don't bid on this waffle iron...
I've been watching it from the moment it went up for auction.
A few of you can colaberate this, because you sent me PMs about it...
I do plan on placing a bid on this item, just seconds before the auction ends...

Dean, I'm really sorry, Didn't think about what I was doing. I was just so excited that I saw it. Should have sent a pm. I do hope you get it. You are the only one who I am aware that collects. this particular brand. Lots of other irons available on ebay including a hotel iron that makes multiple waffles.
