Well, I've never seen one like it...but then again before the 14th DAM in May, I'd never seen one!
Must be a collector thing - although I was getting some 'Ebay loser anxiety' and bid a few ordinary ones up before some kind folks straightened me out. fortunately, I never “won” any of those…
Funny how when they get your money, they call it “winning” on your part…
I guess thats alright, I have gotten one item for way less than I was willing to pay.

Are waffles becoming a "Teardrop" tradition (or obsession)?

The joy of cooking waffles along with challenge could be "main stay" in the teardrop community.

I don't care for pancakes but waffles are really good.

My little waffle maker made heads turn the first time out. The waffle breakfast made everyone say Mmmmmmmm!

I could get hooked on waffle irons very easily. I have to be carefull 'cause I tend to get carried away. So far, I'm totally satisfied with my small iron. It pumps one out every four minutes. :applause:

Hi Kurt,
Last May I drove from my home in Marysville, WA to the 14th DAM Gathering (Thanks Grant). We got into camp about 7:00 p.m.ish
After walking around a bit, I went to bed and crashed hard, I’d driven 10 hours and wouldn’t have made it if I didn’t hook up with someone to follow in (Marty).

When I woke, I went looking for old – scratch that – good friends, and ran into Joanie making waffles and Kevin insisting I have two helpings of his Mt. Man breakfast before I could have a waffle.
When I finally got my waffle, it was the best camp food I’d ever eaten ( ah, er, I mean next to the Mt Man breakfast.).

Fast forward a few months ---
Mendocino, CA.
Snoop Douggy Doug was the designated waffle’r and fed one and all manna from the waffle irons he borrowed.

Soooo…not to be outdone, many of us have jumped into the ‘gotta have a waffle iron mentality.
I have to say, the cast iron waffle irons I’ve picked up work much better on my gas cooktop than the electric one that will soon grace a garage sale near you (if you live in Snohomish Co., WA)
That’s my story, I ‘m sure there are others…

Yeah... $350. is too rich for me... I just want one of those "Heart & Star" jobbies. They have all been kinda pricey lately too. :(

Yeah... I saw that one... Ouch!
I have kinda blown my budget for toys lately anyway.
Just got a Kipor 2000 generator... so somebody else can go for that one... I'll pass. :o

Im glad that most of us got at least one before things went crazy. I too have blown my budget on toys. I am not going to pay this type of money for cast iron or gadget.

Looks like bidder #3 made a very high bid almost 2 hours before bidder #2 could play catch up. It would be interesting to see what his maximum bid was. No waffle iron is worth that much :? , it's just waffles. Danny

And the bidders just beat each other up bad on this one. :?
