On a recent trip to IL to explore some of Route 66 I stopped at the 66 Hall of fame museum in Pontiac. Next to the museum is an antique store. I really wasn't in the market for a waffle iron, but with all the talk here about them, I spotted this one and bought it for $10.00 It's a Good Health, made by Griswold circa 1930's Only sight surface rust on the outside and handle otherwise it's in great condition. I'm happy

Actually, it didn't cost me anything. My brother was along for the ride and I must have caught him at a weak moment......he paid for it! At $10.00 I just couldn't pass it up.

What a find Tom!!!! now as a waffle iron owner, you will be a member of the "secret society" of wafflers...and chances are, sitting in a campground with big RV's around, you are going to be having a better breakfast than them and having more fun while doing it. Doug

Doug:
I'm looking forward to it. Waffles in the morning.....can't beat it.Crispy waffles swimming in fried apples...yummy! So, is there a secret handshake or highsign for members of the secret wafflers?
BTW, once you start making waffles in the campground, I think the secret is out. LOL

I had it printed. I heard that line in a kids movie and thought it was pretty cool. I wore the shirt when I went to pick up my new Camp-Inn.

Tom,

Ya bringing that thing to the camp outt? I think waffles along with Betsey's omlets would be good.

Ok, I'm hungry now.

Cary:
If I get it cleaned up in time I'll bring it. Otherwise you'll just have to wait. I think it will take a little practice to perfect the whole process, so maybe having you and the guys around to experiment on is a good idea. I wonder how waffles and Spotted Cow tastes?? LOL

Last weekend I went to a dutch oven gathering, DOG in Fillmore, CA. Here are the pics. You will find an old waffle iron similar to the previous post, and a familiar teardrop from this forum.
