It ain't iron exactly... But it's still kinda Cool...
Looky what I found noodling around old stuff on ebay:

Brick, that is *very* cool...get out the kosher salt and cut lemons and shine 'er up!

Naaa... Not me. I like that aged copper penny look the patina has now... I ain't messin with it. What is really amazing is there is not a ding in it anywhere I can find. :)

either way, Brick, it's really cool.
BTW, kosher salt and cut lemon is one of those homemade polishing things that you can control...you can use it to just take surface dirt off the piece without harming the patina, or take it up to a full shine...all depends on how much elbow grease you put into rubbing the lemon and how much kosher salt you use.

No dings at all, really? That is one lucky find!
