Me Too !

Found a matched pair with fire rings thought they were too cool to pass up. Now I can make me a big old waffle and fix old what's her name a diet size one !

Update : The UPS man showed up yesterday with my new toys.

The irons looked as good in person as they did in the pics. I couldn't stand it I had to mix up a batch and try it out. I used a little left over egg nog as part of the milk in the recipe. They were fantastic

[quote="davefullmer"]I think I have the load procedure down pat.

Here are some pics of my waffle iron as received. I will take some more pics when I get started with the cleaning. I really would like someone to tell me if the electrolysis will take off the paint?

Dave, the electrolysis will take off the "crud" but I had paint on the base that was not removed. I thought mine was dirty until I saw yours.

Is the iron painted aside from the base? ImageImage

Turned out my new waffle iron and the ring were painted
( outside only)to pretty them up for their e-bay pics.
As I heated them up on the gas stove I smoked up the kitchen a bit.
I was amazed there were no complaints from upper management.
She simply said " it stinks" I let it get good and hot
and then let it cool down. Heated it a second time and
had a lot less smoking and cool again.
When it was cool enough to handle I washed it in hot water and put it back on the burner to dry completely.
Spayed it inside and out (fire ring too) with pam cooking spray
and made us each a great big waffle.
Now ,recleaned and reoiled , its good to go in my estimation.
