I feel your pain.
E-bay has got to be the most frustrating place to shop.... :roll:

Anyway...I found this spare tall base out in the garage under the tear...

It doesn't have Griswold markings on the bottom like one of my others.
It does have the index notches at 3:00 and 9:00 like the Griswold No. 8 1908 pattern iron I have.

Send me a PM if you're interested...I have to clear out a bunch of stuff so I can get the tear out for Spring Fling :lol:

A BIG THANKS to Paul & Norma, I now have a waffle iron base on it's way to Florida.
