Before & after

Postby MrgrumpyNJ » Sat Apr 12, 2008 8:12 pm

Here is before and after of a Wagner #8 pan I picked up for $10.00 at a swap meet.
Used the electrolysis method and had it sit over night on my porch, only had to scrape a few small spots to get it clean when I pulled it out of the water.
Washed it down with some soap and water, dried it off on the stove top and wiped it down with cooking spray.
Next step is to season it in the oven tomorrow while the wifes at work. 8)
I have another Wagner #8 i need to clean as well.

I have come up with what I think is a pretty good way around the old "wait until the wife is gone to season my cast iron" problem. I started using my gas grill outside for all of my seasoning needs. Now I can do it anytime the need arises and it doesn't matter if the wife is home or not. Peace.
