Well all the talk of cast iron and Dutch Ovens.. and so on has us looking now as well Thanks for the cast Iron Bug

These designs are not maybe what your used to seeing but real cast iron it is

So far weve located some cast iron by a Famous Finnish Designer - Mr.
Timo Sarpaneva. Known also Internationally if you collect Scandinavian glassware and crystal and..

Here is a pic of what weve got here. Available with enamel inside or without. But high quality and of course expensive to go with the quality. And still made in Finland.

Notice how the wooden handle can be used.



and here is another that we found.

After contacting a few foundries here they stated that if I have a certain style of Dutch Oven they could have one specially made here for us.

So in the future maybe.. But at least we know they can be made locally.

Price though is not known. And i hate to even ask at the moment.

That first piece especially is beautitful art.

Can't imagine you can have something like DOs custom made.

Which picture was that? Most likely my son but only if I knew which pic it was..

The Dutch Oven (our style) is made by a well known foundary here. They also make Finnish Crystal and Glass which is hand blown.

Yes they will make us one if I bring in details and size of it. As far as the cost of one no idea yet.

When we,d be ordering one is unknown yet.
