My Flea Market Finds

Postby TimJones » Mon Mar 09, 2009 3:36 am

Look what I found yesterday at the flea market. Large skillet 10 inch in diameter maybe 3.5 inches deep marked Kirby and Allen. Any info out there on it. Two 3 inch Lodge skillets not ashtrays marked OOSM

those baby skillets are "butter melters" or "one egg" specials. Lodge sells new ones, preseasoned, at specialty stores like Cracker Barrel and premium grocery-markets. They are small enough for backpacking use. Don't know much about Kirby and Allen -- is there a number on it?

No number on the big skillet. Small Lodges would not hold a small egg, they are very tiny and not of the ash tray kind sold at Cracker Barrel?????
Maybe about half that size. I think they are maybe very old pattern. I don't know

The small ones may be spoon rest. I have a Camp Chef on that the logo is on the inside fo the skillet. That is what it was made for.
