Yes, there's a lip on the skillet/lid. Makes a nice tight fit and the handles line up for easy lifting.

It fits like a D.O lid It's pretty tight and seals in the moisture I would grab one if you can never know when Lodge will do away with them.

I grabbed one (a Lodge pre-seasoned 3 qt combo cooker) last night at the local Sports Chalet. I paid full price then some, but a cast iron no0b's gonna do that before he figures things out. Plus, I had been looking for any cast iron for weeks now at local thrift stores to no avail.
