Got some new iron.

Postby Slayer » Sat May 09, 2009 3:19 pm

A friend of mine bought this about eight years ago. He never used it, and it just sat out in the weather for years. Seeing my sadness at it's lack of use and poor condition, and being the good friend that he is, it was suggested that I might get a bit more use out of it than he had so far.

Gotta love your friends!!!

I know its the photographer, and not the camera. I'll keep shooting with a Pentax. Just in case.

I've got one just like that only with a little shorter legs. Same lid handle shape too. Never understood why the legs were so short on mine, can't really get coals under it.

How big is yours? I think this one will hold about three gal. I also have a lodge 10" deep. The new one is quite a bit larger. I just moved, so it's in a place I can't get to, but I seem to remember that its 14" across and 7 or 8 inches deep.

Mine's 10" x 4" deep, might be a size or 2 down from yours then. This one is a good size, my 12" Lodge is a little big for 2 people.
