My Wagner Aluminum pot and 2 Wagner CI skillets

Postby Ratkity » Sun Oct 17, 2010 1:48 pm

The skillets are both 8". One is a 1055B and has a lot of build up that needs to be dealt with and the 1055H is in great condition.

The Magnalite was my Mom's and I acquired it a long time ago. She called it a dutch oven, but it's really a 5 qt roaster. I don't have the trivet with it.

I'm a big Magnalite fan too! Have a few large roasters, a bean pot and many smaller ones. All about 35 years or older.

Nice find on the skillets Miss Kitty!

I love that older stuff with the light "deco" design on the handles. Nice S&P on the stove as well! Doug

I wondered if anyone would notice the S&P shakers. Those were my Grandma's (father's side). Dad gave them to me after she died when I was a poor college student and asked why I was still using them when I could afford nice ones now. I told him I loved those things.. geesh. lol.

Nice roaster!

I have a Magnalite griddle I picked up at Goodwill a while back. Slightly warped due to excessive heat, I suppose. :(

I bought a roaster like that on eBay, sometime within the last year. It's GREAT for roasts! I never knew how to cook them, before I got that. Yummm!

I go to a Bible Study 20 miles from home on Wednesdays, that meets at the local Golden Corral. The study is from 7:00 - 8:00 am. Then I stay and eat with the gang from 8:00 - 9:00. Then I hit the 2 Goodwill stores withing 3 miles of each other that the Golden Corral is about in the middle of. Then down to the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store, then Salvation army and another goodwill are all clustered together. 3 Miles east to my favorite Goodwill, then 8 miles south to Value Village. Another mile south to the final Goodwill on the loop.

So, 20 miles to Bible Study, 25 miles home.

Edit: This week, all I found that I needed was a replacement lid for my wife's small Corningware pan. She broke it a few months ago, and the mediums are plentiful, but the smalls are hard to come by. 99 cents.

On eBay, they are $7.49 plus $7.91 shipping!
