Finally picked up a D.O.

Finally picked up a dutch oven, Boy Scout model @ the Bass Pro Shop. I did put some pics of my limited Cast Iron collection in my album. There is a flat skillet my father gave me, it was his grandmothers. I ma guessing ot is from mid to late 1800's. It will ride with for a long time to come.

Only have one question what has the bail handle in the lower right? Looks kinda like a flat griddle .
Growing older but not up !

Those are some great Cast Irons I got my moms skillet she only made corn bread in this one and dads stew pot he used it to fry fish and make stews in. They dont get used much the skellit was my grandmaws, my dads mother Wish I could get more family irons. My other grand mother had a cast Iron and Kettle that she used for door stops know they are well over 100 yrs. Oh What I got on to say was go out and use them you'll love it.
