A Grill With History

Postby Catherine+twins » Mon Jul 11, 2011 8:39 pm

This was the grill my dad used for years on the back porch for cooking hamburgers and steaks in the summer. I'm 50, so that makes it 40-45 years old. The brackets that held the grill grates in a higher position are broken off, and the stub for the handle on one grate is also broken off. But I still plan to build myself an electrolysis bath and clean it up. My kids are already looking forward to trying it out.

I've had the little one 25-30 years, don't remember where I picked it up. It'll get a bath, too, once I take the wooden parts off.

A classic Hibachi! Awesome. I have many childhood memories of those too, however none have survived.
