Doug, I DID get it! It appears to be in perfect condition(assuming the pic was of the actual one i'm getting) It's eBay, so who knows...paid a bit much $68, but the cut throat bidding at the end was pretty exciting, especially for my first eBay purchase ever!

Yeah, Doug had that happen to him as well. He watched the timer count down to the last seconds only to be outbid by some lowlife. :x 8)

Are you sure that wasn't two lowlifes on two different auctions?

I confess to a little lowlife bidding when I got mine. I didn't post it on here cause I didn't want to hear back from someone I'd sniped on in the final seconds.

I'm fragile and couldn't have taken the tongue lashings and berating other teardroppers would have poured on me.

I'm hoping someone brings their WD box... Joanie & I are going to do a video and having a box to show would be great.
Better yet... If someone brings the little H&K Industries, Inc. booklet. :worship:

Here's the latest group of inductees along with the former members. We managed to have 8 waffle dog irons at one location. 1 prospect isn't shown, had a previous engagement to attend to. Welcome aboard, Dean/Joanie, Donn/Donna and Sue! Thanks for the eats....Doug

OK...now I MUST get that patch !! (ha ha) I have been giving my WDI a fit recently. Trying ANYthing that won't fall out or burn up inside it. I got lucky and have the phamplet, original sticks and the box.

Let me know how I can get a patch, Doug ~ I have my 'merkin' a waitin' !! (lol)

So are waffle dog irons available as new. Or, are only vintage irons out there. Is anybody making them now is my question?

I recently heard a rumor that someone might start making them again, but it was unconfirmed and from a thoroughly unreliable source!

Sue is a rumor monger

Right now, waffle dog irons are only available as originals and can be found in the wild and on e-bay. Cooking with them is easy, once you figure out how much batter to pour. They can be basic waffle/cornbread sticks or as elaborate as Deans creations. I'm just a basic dog in a batter type cook. Doug

See page 1....ya gotta cook for a group...hurry, I only have 1 patch left and don't know if I can talk the lady that did them into another batch. It was a freebie to me, and I don't want to push my luck. Doug

I finally did it! I served up some waffle dogs at the Fall Brigade this weekend, to people I had just met. Where's my badge? ;) do you even have one left, Doug? No matter if you don't, as long I can now be an official member of the AWDA. Pics of the happy consumers are in my album.
