I know that they are still available in the wild. Just a few days ago...a fellow teardropper went into a local thrift store...found one in a box with instructions, missing a handle...5$! The beauty was it was 1/2 off day...they paid 2.50$ for it. Search and ye shall find....Doug

nope....I know of the shop that had it and who bought it...how they choose to dispose of it is up to them and I will not out them in case they want to sell it. I'm just saying...they are available. I'm not an urban myth perpetuator.

PS....it ain't me...Doug

Waffle dog patent

I looked at my cooker and the patent is listed. Here is the link:

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/2696161.html

I'll go to the aluminum foundry this week and get a quote for getting them cast using an original as a pattern. There is a rivet tool on EBay that is suitable for setting the rivets to hold the two halves together. There is a huge rivet supply house close by so getting the rivets shouldn't be an issue. To complete the cooker all that has to be done is to drill 4 holes for the rivets, rivet the two halves together, and drill and tap two holes for the handles. If the castings are reasonably priced I'll buy the rivet tool, rivets, do the drilling and tapping and make them available. End users can then obtain bolts and a bit of wood for the handles and complete them.

Stay tuned.
