I'm a dope! All this time I've been thinking "Why would you put a hot dog in a waffle?". Then I saw the post above using breakfast sausage, and suddenly I understand , and now I need a Waffle Dog Iron...NOW!
Those would be awesome!
Tom

You can also cook regular corn dogs in them as well. That's what I started with, then got into the breakfast sausage thing. Doug

Breakfast sausage, sausage wrapped in bacon, I have also done shortcake 'dogs with either strawberries or blue berries in angel food cake. And then there were the s'more 'dogs with chocolate chips and marsh mellows in graham cracker waffle batter. The options are only limited by your imagination. For corn dogs, try Andouille sausage and add a little paprika and cayenne and some chopped jalapeno peppers to the batter.

I'll take a couple of them too if you're trying to estimate a production run.

I'll try to remember to call the Pie Iron folks tomorrow to see if I can prod them to putting the Waffle Dog Iron into production.

Stay tuned.

Cheers,

Gus

If you can get re-pops made, I know a few people with my Scout troop that might be interested. Depending on price, I might be able to get 3-5 ordered.

I would be a customer, and I like the idea of the optional handle locations.

Interesting. That's about what I paid for my original. They look well made. I like the heavier hinge and handle bosses. I also like that they made sure that you couldn't mistake them for the originals. If Iron would be cheaper, they would sell more and probably recover production cost faster, though.
