If everyone on here would quit posting that there is a new one on eBay maybe I could get one at a decent price. :x

I am bidding on this one, but I have bid on many of them. They are always going for too much.

I don't know what the high bidder had for a high, but I'm the one that bumped them up to $50. I won't bid any higher.

Pick what you are willing to pay, watch the item and bit as close to the last minute as you can. Bidding earlier just drives te price higher.

Welcome to my world! ;) I just gave up and paid $70 and free shipping last month. We have had so much fun experimenting with it. Good luck. It's not me bidding against you.

Everyone is free to bid. The one willing to pay to most wins, I understand that is the way it is. I just wish I could find a $5 yard sale special. Don't think that will happen though.

It is ok, the sellers love it I am sure. They are getting a premium. Also it does allow members to know there is one to bid on. I was just voicing my frustration with not being able to get a cheap one.

Ya think that I would see them all over because I live about 90 mile away from where they were made. I will keep looking for them in the wild and offer any to you guys if I find any. Cost plus shipping. :D

Went for $71.70. Far more than I am willing to pay. I'll sure take you up on your offer as long as cost isn't anywhere near that high. I'll keep looking, but I don't get to the right places to find any of the cool old camping stuff. Oh well, I guess I need the money more than I need the waffle dog and lantern.

Hey all,
I have been stalking this site for a while and i think my lovely bride finally got tired of me grousing that after two years of looking I would never find one in the wild and she bought this one for me for fathers day. Sure it cost too much but who can put a price tag on delicious waffle dogs... I cant wait until it comes. It may have never been used but im gonna use it :D :D :D :D

Congrats! Nothing like that should ever go unused. Personally, I think the fact that it went unused this long takes away from the value. Kind of like a toy that never gets played with. Enjoy it as it was meant to be enjoyed.

yeah its kinda like an unopened bottle of scotch... It doesn't age in the bottle so you might as well enjoy it.

On the Coleman forum...there is kind of an unwritten policy. If it's an active auction, it's good etiquette to not post the info. If someone is actively looking for an item...they will find it or someone will let them know via PM. If they didn't know about the auction, then they aren't looking that diligently or not have wanted an item that bad. Doug
