Tripple Stacked today!

Postby Vedette » Mon Nov 11, 2013 12:56 am

We had opportunity to give an introduction demo on Dutch Oven cooking to my daughter Brownie group at Brownie Camp today.
Luckily we took all of our Dutch ovens as part of the demo. We were to make Sandi's now famous Chicken for their lunch.
But during the cooking process my daughter brought out dessert and wondered how we were going to cook it.
So, out came the 10" and we stacked it on top of the 12" and 14" already cooking the 3 chickens.
Pictures to follow.

Sounds like YUM!

Looking forward to spending some real quality time with you. I know we met briefly at the Dam gathering, perhaps we can sit down for a real chat in the future. :)

Years ago I worked on a small crew that did 12 hour graveyard shifts every two weeks. The foreman was into dutch oven competitions and would assign each of us a "shopping list" and he did the cooking for practice and to try out new recipes about once a week. That is what really got me hooked on dutch ovens. Three ovens was common, but I remember a night where he had a stack of five ... deep dish lasagna, baked polenta, mixed veggies, homemade French bread, and a caramel swirled chocolate cheesecake. Where's the smilie for ? Believe me, once you get the basics down, the sky's literally the limit. I often ate better at work than any expensive high priced restaurant ... and I didn't have to get dressed up for it.

Congrats on the triple-stack ... you're hooked beyond hope and forever now. May the scales be kind :R
