A Puritan #9 skillet. According to the cast iron collector sites, this was made for Sears by Favorite Stove & Range Co., Piqua, OH and sold from 1916 to 1934. Not in bad shape. No rust, just needs a good cleaning. It will be cool to make my bacon and eggs, etc in something that's almost 100 years old. Set me back a blistering $2 at a garage sale.

Nice score! How smooth is the inside? On old iron like that I bet its good and slick!

Make sure to look into the beeswax treatment. We've been using it on our skillets at home (so far) and we like it.
